RECOMMENDATION

Dr. Dennis Baker – I have experienced Francisco Mesquita over the last twenty-three years of working with him. If a ministry organization needed in one person with the ability to manage and oversee operations, finance, facilities, train, equip and empower all support type employees, lead a relocation and a building program, think and plan strategically, create daycare and preschools for ministry and pay for themselves, Francisco is the man. He is an amazing high energy, high capacity, and high integrity person. Also, in time he figures out everything… and brings workable solutions.  (Senior Ministry Consultant with CAM – Church Assistance Ministry, Former Director of Placement, Coaching, and Transitions with ECFA West, Regional and National Director for CBAmerica churches)

Russ Jacobson – Francisco has a passion for facilities and possesses a keen eye for aesthetics. He was able to take a dark, cluttered storeroom and overhaul it into a convenient and team-focused solution that we still call “Kinkos” for its sleek and professional appearance. This remodel included everything from the lighting to the shelving. No detail was left unconsidered. As a result, productivity increased, and the area was transformed into a state-of-the-art workspace for the next century. (Chief Operation Officer, Shepherd’s Grove | Hour of Power with Bobby Schuller)

Mike Hadj – Over the past 20 years, I had the privilege to provide Francisco consulting, coaching, and mentoring for both the schools and churches under his leadership in Orange and Los Angeles Counties. He critically thinks strategically, knows how to verbalize his ideas in concrete steps, and has demonstrated this acumen in the past when the required IT infra-structure such as computer and science labs, websites, networking, projection, and visual needs were created under his responsibilities. Moreover, lately, networking, VOIP, YouTube for churches, outsourcing services, shift to micro-marketing, integration of software, and how the use of his databases contributed for the increase of positive responses of his marketing campaigns through the automated email applications for marketing. Indeed, he is innovative, creative above average for ministries, and I have seen him revamp dying off ministries in the Orange and Los Angeles Counties, CA.  (Vice President, Senior Business System Analyst, City National Bank; Concentrated in Business Intelligence, Analytics, Data Science, Business Process Modeling, Systems Analysis and Data Governance)

Rebecca Barrera – I had the privilege to work closely with Francisco Mesquita for thirteen years at Whittier Christian Schools. During those years, Francisco demonstrated his many gifts and expertise in various areas such as administration, operations, finance, spearheading projects, and ministering as an executive pastor. However, as a teacher, I know him best as a superintendent and a leader.  In those roles, he encouraged me to stretch myself and utilize all my skills and abilities.  He had innovative and creative ideas to keep the school current and up to date with the latest educational trends that would benefit our students. He definitely had a vision for the school to expand and become a place where all students could grow academically, spiritually, and socially as we partnered with the families to work together to promote a positive learning environment.  Francisco has an exuberant and magnetic personality, and he knows how to connect with people.  He understands the importance of collaboration and team building. Using his knowledge and experience, he helped to build our school into a thriving and exciting place for children, families, and staff to grow in Christ. (Former Elementary School Teacher for Whittier Christian Schools and Heights Christian Schools, CA)

Brenda Turner – As HR Manager, I had the privilege of working closely with Francisco in his position as Director of Operations and Human Resources at the Rescue Mission Alliance. He joined our ministry at a time when both departments were in need of rebuilding and bought his signature energy, dedication, ability and experience to the task. Most notably, Francisco is a man of great integrity and commitment. He has a veracious appetite to learn and achieve. Under his supervision I grew both in my position and as a person. I can say that I have gained a lifetime friend and mentor who I highly regard. (Former HR Manager, Rescue Mission Alliance, Ventura Counties, California)

Rev. Richard Crocker – Francisco Mesquita is an extremely able and faithful servant. As Director of Operations and Finance, he made an immediate impact and served with distinction during my leadership of the church. He was the go-to person in every aspect of the organization, and made a notable contribution in financial systems, budget planning and oversight, staff reordering, space reorganization, building acquisition, and video communication. In general, he helped us to be aware of systems and function for effective ministry. During that time, the church experienced two major moves, and his capable dealing with all the aspects of these, together with the interim period, made the church experience a lot better than it might have been! He will bless any group that uses his services.  (Former Supervisor and Rector, St James Anglican Church, Newport Beach, CA)

One of his strengths was in relating to staff.  He made personal investments in staff at all levels of the organization without respect for their position. I had the opportunity to witness his passion for life-long learning and benefitted from that through his encouragement of my own personal educational pursuits.  Additionally, Francisco exhibits initiative, inquisitiveness and discernment in leadership.  I have known him to be eager, honest and hard working in all contacts we’ve had.  (Senior Coordinator, Early Education Western Division, Association of Christian Schools International, Former Principal, Whittier Christian Schools, Los Angeles County, CA)

During our nomadic period, his organizational abilities kept our worship services consistent and vibrant. He was creative in his solutions keeping costs to bare minimums. His dedication and sacrifice were a wonder to behold, though, for most members, his energies went unnoticed. And he left it that way – the true depths of a humble heart. Aside from performing so many diverse functions, Francisco always had time to be personal and pastoral. When he discovered common wounds in others, he was transparent in sharing his victory and method in overcoming so that others might be freed from their own fears.
